SCVNEW METHOD Sources, dates, and corrections

ABOUT SCVNEW

Useful local research
shows its sources.

SCVNew is being built as a Santa Clarita new-housing research desk: it distinguishes source facts, reported leads, community questions, and analysis.

THE METHOD

Scout, preserve, verify, explain, correct.

We record a source URL, its date where available, the retrieval date, and the exact fact used. A primary record supports a verified claim. Reporting can identify a lead and is attributed when used. Community conversation can raise a question, but it is not proof.

WHAT WE DO NOT DO

We do not convert uncertainty into sales copy.

SCVNew does not infer available inventory from a broad price range, calculate value from incomplete inputs, treat unknown costs as zero, or reproduce reporting without attribution. A quiet permit week remains a valid result.

UPDATES AND CORRECTIONS

Snapshots keep the record honest.

Every useful claim is dated. When a stronger record changes a conclusion, the item is updated and the earlier source remains part of the research trail.
